    black/dim screen

    hi. i have an acer aspire 8930g laptop. recently the screen started to flicker then went black. i could just about see the in fo on it if i looked closely. i have replaced the invertor with no joy, so i have also replaced the blacklights. no easy task that. but to no joy.... can anyone help me with whats wrong? should i have just replaced the whole screen or has something gone on the mother board?
