I thought you are trying unsigned ones from L2V. That is an awkward problem. Any issues with your system, other than that?

Hi, you don't need any as far as I know, so did you perform a factory install from either recovery discs or 'Alt F10'?

If restoring to factory default doesn't solve this I'd call ACER(or the store you bought your laptop from) and send it for repair, refund or replace with a new one.

I´ve been sitting with the same problem as Jamie. The drive and the system works well. Only blueray disk seems to be the problem. "please insert a disk" the Pc states when im trying to put in a blueray disk. Ivé searched the web and it seems to be a problem many people have. Have you had any luck with the drive yet Jamie?

I have been have the same problem, certain blurays will work, but not all. for example dark knight special features disc works, but the movie disc i get the please insert disc. at first i thought it was a defective copy so i returned it same problem. I contacted acer they say my drive is probably defective and I should send it in. Might i mention the blamed it on mcafee at first for not working b/c of some issue with a outdated definition file, i updated the problem still persisted, so i contacted mcafee, b/c acer said deal with mcafee or send it in. turns out mcafee had nothing to do with the problem, i feel it was just acer trying to deflect me away from them.

is it me do others find that acer doesn't deal with customers problems well. i've had 3 problems wrong with my system twice they ended up telling me i should send it in, the other time they just left it unresolved and thankfully people on here helped me out. I think i'd trust some of you people fixing my laptop over acer techs.

but please if someone can come up with a fix for this issue then kudos and much appreciation.
