    boot problem with 5672

    hello! anybody can help me with this after my lappy boots up if freezes, I can not boot up from cd . I freezes and all i see is the pic desktop. I do not see any of the icons. All it works is the alt+ crtl+ del can any body help me. I have place the recovery cd in th cd/rom but nothing. I would like at list be able to see teh icons so i can run acer program. All i see is the desktop pic tanks. I try right clic doesnot work

    if alt+ctrl+del works, then i believe you've been infected with a virus, try booting up in safe mode, restart the computer and then press the f8 key before windows boots up, select safe mode and then run an antivirus scan.

    if you choose to use the recovery cd, you would lose all your data but your machine would be okay again. its probably not booting up because of the bios setup, you will need to access this before windows boots up as well to check your boot device order

    if it isn't a virus, maybe u've got a defective product. I guess in the end, you could try returning it. How long have u had it?

    well, 2 momths i paid $799.00 fllor model it is worth. i think is a virus. It was working fine.
