    Hi there,
    I have acer travelmate290e, I would like to make this machine has function to boot from USB, but what I search through internet is nothing. I tried to install BIOS update from acer website, but still doesnt works.
    Is there any idea how to boot from the USB?

    Hi Gamekiller, you mentioned trying the BIOS update, but did you check in the BIOS of your computer during boot? Its likely in the boot order/sequence settings.

    yep.. i have done that, I check the sequence part and the only option that in the list was cd, harddisk, floppy, and LAN. No usb..

    Bios update that I try to mention previously; I downloading the Intel software, 290Intel.exe, I run it, and nothing happen..

    Intel software? Never heard of a BIOS for Acer made by Intel. Anyway I have the choice of USB in my old BIOS. How old is your laptop? What's your BIOS version?
