anyone know why I can't get the laptop to post with the older card installed? it's the bios right? i thought i could do a blind flash but it doesn't boot properly, lights come on but when i hit the keys to boot from a usb stick to run the flasher nothing happened no beeps, so it's like the laptop turns on then does nothing.

popped the original card back in and its all working again. was hoping to use an old card, looks like it's not compatible...

all i could find listed as working were 8400, 8600 & 9650, but i wanted something older.

any ideas? or should i just return the card.

    laptop is acer aspire 7520g.
