Hello today my new Acer Travelmate 292LCi came! So far I havn't been disapointed, the only problem is that i'm trying to work the infrared port on it. I have a MYX-6 sagem phone which has the IDrA feature and it says in the user manual for my laptop that it can communicate with mobiles using infrared. However I can't seem to get it to work. so far have tried sending pictures from my phone and creating connections on the computer. I'm a bit of a beginner with things like networking etc, could anyone help me please i'd be very grateful,

    Thank you

    Tamzin

There's not much configuring for the IR ports. I think they're constantly active searching for devices. Once there's something in range, it'll start to connect. If sending files, you may want to try going into the Wireless section in the Control Panel and setup the location to save the files.

Here's a link I found that will hopefully help you get the IR working.
