    I got this an acer aspire 5672 wlmi used on ebay. it has a good gpu which is ati x1600.
    It gots an intel core duo clocked at 1.66GHz. I wanted to know if you can upgrade it.
    Because the cpu is causing much of the slowdown in my gaming performance on my laptop.

    Yes, I put a T5600 C2D Merom in my old 5672. But I believe it may be your 128bit x1600 that is more the problem then the processor.
