    Hello,

This is weird. Previously I have two active partitions on my acer 8930G-7665.
    Drive C: is 250GB and Drive D: is 250GB

Currently Drive D:\ is missing. I went to the disk management under WIN7 to mount or even assigned a drive letter to my inaccessible partition.

Disk Management can see the inaccessible partion but the problem is that the program wont give me any option to play with when I right click it. Please see attachment.

Please use thumbnails in your message to avoid stretching the page.
Try using GParted or Partition Wizard to remove the OEM flag on the partition.

Thanks. I will fix the attached image in a second.

I am using partionwizard 4.22 (as recommended by you on a previously post) right now. How do I remove the OEM flag though?

Under partion magic I can view and see my data on Drive D:\
I also used this opportunity to run a suface scan. No corruption so far.

I guess my last step is to remove the "OEM Flag" any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try this - set it to the same type as C:.

    SOLUTION:

    STEP1
    Using PartionWizard (freeware) at:
    http://www.partitionwizard.com/download.html

    STEP2
Right Click on your inaccessible partion and click MODIFY and PARTITION TYPE ID
    [IMG]

    STEP3:
    Select NTFS under pre-defined ID

    STEP4:
    Apply Changes

    STEP5:
Sit Back and Enjoy! Verify your NOW accessible HD partion on your Computer

Thanks to TehSuigi for pointing me in the right direction!

    Hi guys,

I am having the exact same problem but when I follow the instructions above, after a restart the drive has disappeared again! Any thoughts on why? Am I able to remove the partition and have the drive as it's full size again but just as drive C: without losing any data on the C: part of the drive?

    Many thanks

    Gavin

Have just found another thread on here which has solved the problem. All because of Acer Arcade Deluxe!!! Thank you to the OP.
