    cdrom and recovery missing

    Hi. I have a acer laptop model 3100 The Cdrom and the recovery have been accidently removed from this laptop
    The cd drive opens but does not work and it is not in computer properties, neither is the recovery,

    Acer does not have a disk for this pc anymore and even if they did I cannot access the cdrom drive.
    Any help would be appreciated, Thanks
