Here are a few tips to remove the keyboard.
    1. Release the left latch securing the keyboard plate.
    2. Release the right latch securing the keyboard plate.
    3. Carefully detach the keyboard plate and place the keyboard plate as shown.
    4. Release the keyboard FFC lock carefully because it is fragile. Then detach the keyboard plate.

Thats probably all you need to remove the keyboard off the Ferrari 1000.

to remove the keyboard remove the 2 screws on the back of the hinge, the 2 screws under the battery. Pop off the middle cover and then release the latches on the keyboard. the keyboard will then come right out.

as for the thermal module, you would have to disassemble the unit entirely to get to it. all screws on the bottom, all screws under the keyboard. the lcd can remain attached to the uppercase as they will lift off as one.

the mainboard will then be seen, remove all screws holding it down. then you have to slightly pry the board from the lowercase.

the thermal module will then be visible.

How likely is it that pulling the 1000 apart and cleaning the fan will get rid of the loud clicking sound (much like the sounda baseball card in bicycle spokes makes)?

Also, where do you recommend going for replacement parts like keyboards and fans for the Ferrari 1000? Are there some places that have cheap (competitive) prices and are reliable sources?

Unfortunately the version of the service guide didn't mention how to remove the middle plate before trying to remove the keyboard and as a result it is easy to break a key like the Esc key when trying to lift the keyboard with the middle plate still secured. :(

cleaning the fan to get rid of the noise may not help. given it's age, most likely a bad fan bearing and you would need a new thermal module. check ebay for parts.

There is probably some other screw or whatever to be removed or detached: I cannot lift my keyboard, something keeps it attached somewhere in the middle. Nothing changes if I unscrew all visible screws on the back.

You need to remove the cover for the hinges. Each hinge has a screw, and when you have unscrewed it, you can remove the cover for the hinge which I think, clips the keyboard in the middle.
