    Hi,
Wondering if anyone has this problem.

    I have an Aspire 5920 with 8600M GT (256MB DDR2).

The laptop screen is perfect. However, the (default) brightness on my external monitor, connected to the VGA port, is strange. It's very bright and pale. I have tried a few monitors, and they are all like this (and they work fine with other computers). I can adjust the brightness and contrast in the NVIDIA driver panel, but I can never seem to get it to exactly "normal" (but can get pretty close). It's the same in Linux.

    Thanks

EDIT: Is it possible that it is because I flashed my VBIOS? If so, can anyone please send me their original? (specs above) I deleted my original after I tested my OCed one (it has no problems except this brightness issue, which I am not sure if it's present before the flash, as I just hooked up the external monitor recently). Thanks
