    dissambled TM2700/2200 or Aspire1670 -- bios socket?

    I want to know if anyone who have disassembled one of the above models, or have seen one "opened", knows if the BIOS chip is soldered on the motherboard, or it has a socket!

    I may need to replace the BIOS chip, and it would be nice to know before I open the notebook (warranty.. :) )

    me again...lol......i have stripped down my aspire 1672 and the chip and the battery looks soldered mate....what i am lookin for just now is a repair/service manual to find out where the boot block switch/jumper is
