i have a 4720 but i cant figure out bluetooth
-
it will show device manger if you do or when hit blue switch it will say device enable if you do
if said no hard found it does.nt have most them say bluetooth optional unless you order spefic states you have blue it won,nt quick google on lx number on laptop or complete model number will also tell ya -
Having a Z in the model number usually means "budget version" so I think 4720 Z doesn't have bluetooth.

i have aspire 4720z and it has bluetooth as far as i know..it has easy launch button for bluetooth as well..
may be you didn't installed the drivers for bluetooth..check it in you driver DVD. -
I've got a 4720z no bluetooth but it does have a connector for it and you can get the module on ebay if you want to install it yourself. alternatively there are a few mini bluetooth adapters that hook into the usb and are very small.

when you press the button it says no device

My 5570z also did not come with Bluetooth though it had a switch for one. I found a reference here to a ebay company called OldEgg which sells internal BT modules and purchased one and it works great.
There is a listing for the 4720 on the website. I cannot post the URL but google "OldEgg Wireless Depot" and on the page it is the 5th module down on the list. -

yeah but if you're going to open it up it's just as well to get the dongle from ebay and install that.

midway can you tell me please what cable 4720 z uses 4 pin or 8 pin ?
there are two kinds.
and if possible could you tell me how to open laptop and where is this connector located ?
thank you very much -
The website says it is a 5-pin:

thx guys for you help very much ... but OMG who's gonna go thru this "few million steps" disassembly-reassembly procedure
-
Yeah, I was thinking the same thing...might as well get a BT dongle instead of tearing the laptop all to pieces. My 5570z only required taking the RAM cover off. It took all of 5 mins. to install the module.
does the aspire 4720z have a built in bluetooth
