hello
I am a "silver surfer" with limited computer knowledge and would greatly appreciate help with a problem which has recently occurred with my Acer Aspire 5920G laptop which is running Vista SP1.
All of a sudden and for no apparent reason, when I switch on I get a message " eDSLoader.exe Unable to Locate Component. This application has failed to start because ADMIN_CLASS_LIB.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem"
This is followed by a Windows Message which says "eData Security System Loader (Load and prepare environment) has stopped working" and I get the 2 usual Windows alternatives.
Looking in Google, I see an article which says this problem is not serious. It says the eDSLoader program relates to data encryption and is not normally used. The solution recommended by the article is to use msConfig and disable the program from running at start up.
Before doing this, I would like to double-check with knowledgeable members of this forum.
Is disabling the program from running at start-up really the best solution ?
Or should I try to re-install the program in question ? If re-installing is the best option, do I uninstall in the normal way and where do I find a new version of the program to re-install ?
Also, any idea as to what went wrong in the first place so I can avoid the problem in the future ?
Many thanks in advance for help and assistance !!

It seems that some AntiVirus/Antispyware(AVG, AdAware) or some registry cleaner software(CCleaner) think of ADMIN_CLASS_LIB.dll as a virus or a trojan or something. It's a false positive but if you have these "anti-software" set to "automatic desinfect/delete" they've deleted the file.
You have several options:
1. You can reinstall the program(eData Security Management) which will fix the problem. If you don't have it you can get it from here.
2. If you don't use this software just disable it from running on startup.
3. Another option is to get ADMIN_CLASS_LIB.dll from someone and copy it to your \Windows\System32 directory, this will solve your problem too. You can't get it from the Internet though(at least I was unable to find it) so you'll have to ask someone which has the eSoftware installed to send the file to you.
The best solution? If you don't use it then uninstall the software, or just disable it from running on startup. If you use the software then reinstallation is your best option. -
I am very grateful for your very prompt and helpful response to my query.
I think you are definitely correct in identifying my anti-spyware as the probable culprit. I downloaded and run the new Anniversary Edition of AdAware for the first time yesterday afternoon which matches the emergence of the problem.
I don't use the eData program so I have just disabled it from running at start up but, in case I need it in the future, I have bookmarked this page and downloaded the new version from the link you very kindly provided so I have it ready to hand.
Once again many thanks and bye for now !! -
You're totally welcome. Let me know if you have some more questions.

I have this exact issue and I've read your solution but have one question: where can I locate the file in order to disable it from start-up?

Click on the "START" button, then click on "run" The type in "msconfig" without the quotes. Click on the "start" tab. Scroll down till you see the line for EDSLOADER, then uncheck the box. Click on apply. Then restart the computer. when it restarts the first time you will get a popup message that says you used the msconfig utility, blah, blah, blah! Just click on the box saying that you don't want to be notified next time and you won't get the popup again.
That's all there is to it! -

I tried this and it said my system wasn't adequate for this. I am assuming that is because mine is 64 bit.
is there another file for the 64 bit?
thanks,
