Hi there, not sure if this is meant to go here, but I have a problem with the keyboard on my brand new E732. It seems the O button causes the little typing line to go back to the start of the paragraph, causeing me to keep typing and accidently type over a whole sentence. If I do the FN + numb lock /Scr Lk combo, it causes the O to produce a 7 as well, despite not being near eachother on the keyboard, and the L key to produce a star as well. Eg:

    "The quick bro7wn fo7x jumps 7over the *lazy do7g"

Either way this is making it extremel*y difficul*t to type, any ideas?
    This p7ost was so7 hard to7 do7, *l7o*l

Does that happen with an external keyboard?
Is the BIOS up to date?

Assuming that it doesn't happen with an external keyboard (highly unlikely but best to eliminate other possibilites) you've likely got a bad keyboard. A search on ebay turns up a replacement for $25.

Since the laptop is brand new, simply have it fixed under warranty.
Additional test to sort out software/Windows problems would be to try a live Linux system (like Ubuntu) from CD or USB stick.

I had a similar problem with an old Fujitsu Siemens Amilo D series laptop, Where these characters: tyuiop[] would also type: 567890-=.

How did I fix it you might ask?

    I spilled beer on it.

Ahhh, thought this was an older out of warranty laptop. I've changed keyboards in my old Emachine D620 and it was a snap.
