    express upgrade to vista through moduslink...

    i placed my order etc. sent in my confirmation and latter that day i checked the status and it said 'order confirmed'

    today i though i would check it again, but when i enter the confirmation number and email adress i get a page saying 'unable to access, as the confirmation number no longer exists in our system'.

    Whats with that!!! i called there support but they suggested trying agian latter...

    can anyone else access the order page? i am tring to find out if it is there system or is there and error on just my order??????

    can any other acer upgraders access there 'check exsisting order'

    I believe you can use the confirmation number only once =/

    I mean that you get only one try to order the VISTA upgrade...
    I also know that a lot of users are having issues with moduslink.
    About checking the status, i honestly don't have a clue why it is not working. Maybe they are having problems with their servers. Try it later ;)

    its working for me. albeit slowly (5 mins to load the status page!)

    yah it is slow for me too. i just don't know why i can not check my status...

    I tried earlier to check on my order, when i entered my order number, it did not recognise it. It was perfectly alright the other day - order confirmed.
    And yes i also found that the pages were loading very slow.


    I have also checked my order many times since my order went in, so you can check on your order as many times as you wish.


    Just tried again and it now says the following :

    Currently this site is down for important maintenance. Please try again later.


    They must be having problems at their end - i will try again later.

    I have just tried to check on my order again.

    The site is up & running again - still bit slow, quicker than earlier.

    Still came up that it did not recognise my order number, but when i typed in my e-mail address, my order status came up.

    Here is what happened to me, I got quite the scare:

    First, I tried checking the status with my e-mail and confirmation number. I got the same message the original poster got (number isn't in the system, etc.).

    So just to make sure, I tried to check using my e-mail and COA number. This time the status came up and, much to my delight, the Order Status was changed to "COA Validated"! So I guess that means I have to just sit tight and wait for it to arrive.

    I was told in one of the other forums that we will not get our upgrades until March or April. :( :(

    Previously you just put in an Order number and it would display the current status. You could actually put in any order number and see the status.

    I guess they've now changed it so that it validates the order number against your e-mail address so you can't look at other people's order status.

    i tried both, coa and confirmation, no luck.

    i call support and the attendant said that my account was 'being edited being another user' I figure I did not sign off properly or something like that, so I emailed them and asked them to 'kick' off who ever is on because it should not take a tec 24hours to 'edit' my account and if i am still on i need to be signed off, and if it is not me, then they really need to be kicked off...

    i will post the email i get back form them.

    If I put in the COA number and email address I get the same error as the first poster, if I put my order number and email address I get COA validation failed, but when I had checked before today it had said COA accepted.

    Not happy!

    I checked mine yesterday and it came up ok with the Order Status as "POP Validated". The Order Status was previously just "Confirmed".

    My status says that they couldn't validate my proof of purchase.

    Very odd, because I've sent in a copy of the receipt three times (once with fax and twice with email). I've also asked them to respond to these emails, which they haven't done either. :mad: I'm in Europe btw.

    on my notebook it is on the base above the windows serial number

    will all be numbers in the form of, XXXXX XXX XXX XXX

    Spoke to an agent today, and the coa number they say they have on their records is one digit different to mine, where I have a 5 they have a 6!

    They are suposed to be contacting me as to what will happen next.

    The coa I put in when I placed my order was confirmed at the time, and boy did I double check it.

    You just have to love their crytpic language. Mine is "POP validated" too, whatever that means. Hopefully it will ship soon.

    I'm guessing that by the time it ships we will have several hundred MB of updates to download, LOL.
