are AA1 owners able to hear the fan on their netbooks? mine isn't loud and doesn't change when the netbook is tilted, but curious if they're SUPPOSED to be silent. i don't mind the sound personally, just sounds like a tiny motor spinning in a quiet room - no clicking or anything like that. thanks.

The fan normally goes on sometimes for no reason, even when temperatures are low. This can be fixed.

Download the fan control to set the fan to go on only when temperatures exceed a certain amount. Set it to 72C on, 67C off.

They should be silent, every other netbook is with the same specs, but Acers aren't because the fan goes on even when temperatures are low, which is a mistake on Acer's part imo. The fan control should correct Acers mistake.

given the size of the fan and that it is a sunon, don't expect it to be silent.
