    hi,
just started to use my year old acer aspire 5741a and noticing the hdmi port is dodgy, sometimes it gives a good picture, other times its just gives static.
if i wiggle it sometimes its ok, other times no amount of wiggling will get the picture to the tv (apart from multicoulered garbage instead of the desktop).

its deffo the port, i have tried different hdmi cables, tv, etc.

prob a lose connection (todays electronics are garbage, everything is cheap and nasty and corners are cut to skimp on costs, from useless solder on ps3s/360s/laptops etc to inferior parts on every electronic item, nothing will last nowadays, compared to a decade or so ago).

    MY QUESTION IS--
can i somehow add another hdmi port, or dvi even ?, but the acer aspire 5741a has no other ports, not even a card slot ?

    cheers

cheers, im having a look now, buts its already apparent how expensive they are, ones a ton !

can a usb port deliver a full 1080p signal as good as a hdmi port ?, i find that hard to accept, but i hope it is so
