when looking at properties under my computer, sometimes it reads as "mobile AMD Athlon(tm) XP 2500+, 649mhz" whereas other times it's much much faster... can someone tell me why this is so and how to fix it? thanks

I think this may just be when I run from the battery... because if I set connect it up to an AC power supply, it runs at 1.86ghz. guess it must be a battery saving thing... pity the battery life is still a tad short
