I bought my acer laptop today and when i plugged in the ac power supply and i had to wait cause a paper that came with the laptop said it'll take liike 30min to do the start up (it was a blank screen). So i came back like 40min later and set-up was in french, it said some options(idk wht they were) that were set in french so i put them into english and waited for the setup to finish when the login page came all the info was in french, i turn it off and it was still french, so i was wondering if there was anythin i can do to make it english again. Is it a one time thing? p.s my laptop is a acer aspire as5920-6642, if i misspelled anythin or u need more info just tell me i'm kinda pissed off at this, thanks for the help. :(

ok so i think i need 2 recovery disks, so i'm wondering if i have to call acer for this or should i call the store and tell them, so that they can give me the disks. I have a 7 day in-store warranty so would i get those disk free? cause i looked up a forum where this person called acer and he got the two disk for free (cause he just bought his too). so which should i call? and which would be faster? thanks

Take it back to the store. Let them replace it for a new unit and this time when doing the initial boot, don't leave it unattended. That would be the quickest way. I think I read somewhere that once you have selected a language in multi-language computers, then the recovery partition will be set in that language and can't be changed.
