Volume Label is what you want to name that drive. Such as Local Disk or System.

Hi, You should just be able to boot from CD with recovery CD in drive & follow instructions, this should then format drive. Should be no need to format C as a seperate instruction. To format C as a seperate instruction you req a CD/DVD in drive with "format" on it.
    Hoggy.

You can't cut the branch you are sitting on!!!.
You cant delete C while you are booted in windows.

To format, boot with a cd(windows, recovery or hiren's boot cd) and then format.
