Is the power supply(PSU) built on the motherboard or is it independant?
I am asking because of strange noises my computer makes when every I move my mouse while running a program by the name of ZoomText(video overlay software, extremely CPU Dependant). the whining only comes up when the the CPU is clocked at anything above 800mhz. every time I use the mouse when set to 'high' it makes a short 'whine' then when I stop moving the mouse it does the same thing again. At 2.0ghz it is mainly constant with a little variation when the mouse is moved and stopped. when it is clocked at exactly 800mhz the noise is still there but it's a lot fainter and bearable
Anyone have any Ideas?
right now I am so mad at acer words can not describe it, this is AFTER the 3 repairs(for this issue). and I got the computer back 2 days ago!!!!!!!
ANY help is appreciatedThanks a lot guys!

to clarify why I am asking about the PSU is it seems that when ever the processor needs lots of power the noise is alot louder, so if it is attached to motherboard... well I don't know because acer has replaced my motherboard more than ones and it does not seem to affect... if it is a separate entity I could recomend them to replace that...
or any other viable solutions???????? -
Personally If I had a notebook that gave me as much trouble as that Ferrari has given you over the last few months I would have sold it and bought something else. Acer really gave you the "run around" but perhaps you had a lemon to begin with...
But I cannot even begin to speculate why that notebook is doing what it is now doing sorry...
funny problem on Acer Ferrari 5000...
