    Hello,

    is anyone having the same problem that I am having? about once a week my windows and bios system time and date keep on getting reset to jan 1, 2001.

    i change the date on the bios and/or vista but the problem keep on coming back

    Dont think this is normal I haven't experienced this. Probably this is a problem with a virus or third party program. Or even a hardware problem with the cmos or bios?

    Hi, I'm not however you possibly need to refer back to Acer and have it looked at as it sounds like it could be the cmos battery failing if it happens when the laptop is off....

    i dont think this is a cmos battery issue because my cmos password is still in tact after each event. if my cmos battery is low it will reset the cmos and all of its values (including pw)
