    There are multiple programs to monitor temps.

    The most simple one i've found is mobilemeter.

    You can also try NHC which will monitor temps and also allow for undervolting. As will RM Clock.

    Speedfan can also monitor some of the system temperatures, but may not be able to control the speed of the fan.

    I prefer to use mobilemeter since it just has a little popup window that can display CPU frequency, CPU temp, HDD temp, battery drain.
