    help! acer travelmate 3043 trouble

    the system can't read blank dvd-r . before it can but all of a sudden, it can't. when i double click the icon of the drive, a pop up says that the disk should be formatted. when i format the disk through disk management, the system hangs. and when i use nero to burn an image, a pop up says i have no administrative right to save the image on the dvd drive.

    what might be wrong?

    any help is much appreciated.
