epower management doesn't have a GUI nor a tray icon. It does have a process added to start-up though.
As for your battery wear- no battery manager would help you with that- it always happens on its own.
15% on 8 months is quite re4asonable although not very good.
What's the battery manufacturer? -
I do not use notebook regularly. The average is 2 hours per day. battery manufacter is Liteon.

You should be glad it's not Sony
BTW it doesn't matter if you use a notebook or not, or even if you use it on battery or not- battery wears constantly. Even if you take it out and leave it like this its capacity will go down on its own (not as fast as it would have if you used it but still it does happen).
So to sum it up- you don't really have a problem and what's happening is normal.
The only way to make the process significantly slower is charge the battery up to ~50% and store it in the refrigerator (I'm not kidding).
That kind of defeats the purpose of having a notebook though. -
Batterybar pro is good if you would like to help monitor your battery in depth.
Here is the free version to try first, It has some useful tools for alerting you about current state and also to help maintain a good routine of care. -
