    since i got use to xp when i get my acer timeline.... i formated windows to XP without any back up.... and orz it dont come with system back up disc.. i download 2 version of erecovery management app. but still wont help. what can i do in order to make this notebook back to factory defualt ? i already installed windows xp in it. i tried acer erecovery management V2.0 & 2.5. it says my system is D2D so cant install...... please help me out. tks

    switch ya computer off, turn it on and press alt and f10, keep your finger on alt and tap f10 till the restore starts, they have a hidden partition to restore vista

    Another option would be to create a bootable USB device, e.g. with Partition Wizard, set the (unormatted) partition containing the recovery data (should contain around 12 GB of data) as active, unplug the USB and rebooot. The rest is self explaining if it works.
