I recently bought an Apple 30" Cinema HD display and am trying to connect it to my Acer TM 8204 but am not having any luck getting it to work at 2560x1600. I am using a dual-link DVI cable and the Mobility Radeon x1600 supposedly supports this resolution, and I am able to select it in the display properties under the second monitor - but after I apply the changes I am left with a black, flickering screen on the external monitor.

I am able to get everything working at resolutions up to 1280x800 (extended desktop, switching to external monitor as primary) but as soon as I choose a higher resolution for the Cinema HD monitor it stops displaying an image.

I am running XP Pro SP2 and have tried the latest Catalyst drivers as well as the Catalyst driver on the Acer site and the Omega drivers.

Is there something I am doing wrong?

    Thanks
