    i have just purchaced a new acer laptop on windows 10 , but that is only part of the problem i have an old 3515 that i tried to up grade to 2gb to give to my grand daughter but one of the clips that hold the ram card in has come out is it possible for a daft old man to get it back in and working for my grand daughter as a first laptop

    Hi there.

    It's hard to tell if it can be helped - what does it mean that the clip "has come out"? These are metal clips - is it broken, or has it literally come out (as in slipped out of its mountings)?

    There is also a second thing although not exactly related - Aspire 3515 is a single core Celeron-based notebook which at this point is close to unusable. It's incapable of doing most things she might want to do - it will lag as hell in browser, it won't be able to play a HD video etc. So you might want to re-consider this.
