Right now no one is home but me. Very quiet (nice), and when I touch the touchpad I hear a high pitched buzz come from inside the laptop. When I remove my finger, it goes away after about 1-2 seconds.

    Anyone else notice this?

I did update my synaptic drivers since purchasing the 5672WLMi so that I could use touchpad scrolling in Firefox. Could this cause it?

    Thanks in advance...

There will be some buzzing noise from the touchpad when it is touched but the noise should be too loud and it should be fairly 'faint'. With my laptop the buzzing noise can only be heard when I place my ear near the touchpad. This might vary between touchpad and touchpad, I would only worry if the noise was loud, then it might be due to some bad capacitors.

Dont expect it to be noiseless though as electricity flowing through the circuit will make some amount of noise but the noise should be very faint.
