I have a 6930 (not a 6930G) and I need it to boot with the numlock on. In my past experience, this setting has been handled in the BIOS, but in the BIOS for this laptop, I'm not finding the option.

    Any help?

Hi and welcome to this GREAT forum :).

To enable NUM LOCK before a user logs on, use the steps below:

    1. Run Registry Editor (Regedit.exe).
    2. Navigate to HKEY_USERS\.Default\Control Panel\Keyboard.
    3. Change the value for InitialKeyboardIndicators from 0 to 2.

This will turn NUM LOCK on before windows log-in process but after BIOS/System password input, so if you have one of those enabled you will still have to press the key in order to turn it on.

Kind Regards and Good Luck :)
