so i bought my new Acer 3009WLCi...which as it turned out is litterally a relabeled 3003, infact my case says 3003wlci, but the box has a new sticker over it.

When i started it up, i went through that whole burning backup CDs and gave me the option of burning it all to one DVD, but i dont have a DVD disc to test

Check if the disc drive itelf (the cover) says DVD-RW or something similar. The regular edition only has a CD-R sign on it.
