mine works fine. Bluetooth mouse gets disconnected once in a while (usually during a period of inactivity when the mouse goes on standby). Fan blows to the right side and I'm right handed so I prefer it to blow left but not a big deal. I can't say it gets that hot though but I only have my old gateway 3040gz to compare it to and that got extremely hot when I ran WoW (hurt to put it on my lap). I've only used my acer to surf the web and play WoW so far though (oh and I tried the spellforce 2 demo for 5 minutes). So far so good. I just picked up the extended 2 yr warranty for $100 as well.

Works like a dream. I have the 5672 with x1600 and my start up times and performance in a booted OS are outstanding. It gets warm(not hot)when doing heavy gaming, otherwise its not too warm. Had it for almost 2 months and it does all the heavy gaming and multitasking I throw at it, without lag/fail and zero issues.

just got my 5672 with the x1600, everything works beautifully, temperatures were a little warm for comfort until I peeled off the tape blocking the vent at the bottom of the laptop. Now it's running at temperatures similar to the t42 I used to have. No complaints.

i'm very pleased with mine but don't no is the problem with win xp pro
can any one help me why is mine extrem slow start-up and windows explorer stop responing many times i uninstall acer orib camera ,acer arcade and acer empowring -
All of my hardware runs like a dream. The 5672wmli is no different
If you remove all of the bloat, install a 1/2 way decent operating system without the bloat or issues (aka no restore partition) then it's great. All oem software is just that... oem (no name peices of crap if you ask me).
I love my 5672wmli and it will continue to serve me well into the coming years (especially with upgrading the cpu to merom in a few years)

To fix a slow start up I would go to run>type msconfig and configure what starts and what does not. You may have way too many things starting up causing a slow startup as well as bad performance during normal operations as you have too many things running. Also try using hibernate that is MUCH faster then shutting down a pc everytime you walk away from it. Instead it loads everything onto the HDD and makes loading alot faster.

did u suggest install a copy of xp pro (not original coz cost +300$) and copy only cost 5$
after a clean install then start install driver from recovery CD -
hello i install new oem windows and know it's runs faster 1000% No crashes

Nti titanium and k-lite codec
firefox and download extentions
adobe reader
nokia pc suit
dap 8

msn 8

thanx all -
Hey Guys,
I have an Acer Aspire 5672WLMi (T2300, X1400, 2G 533 Ram, 100G HDD)
Runs fine and fairly quiet. Palm rest gets fairly warm, especially when playing games but the cooling problem isn't that bad if you live in an 18th century building with really bad central heating. Real snag = battery life + matSHITa DVD-RAM + shame not X1600
Haven't got the email button to work though.. why don't they support IMAP?
Definitely install XP pro... much more efficient in dual-core and memory management. Also get rid of most of the acer stuff except ePower Management + Orbicam + VoIP Phone Charger (extract the Driver from installing on another computer) + GridVista (useful tool for writing assignments) + get your own AV (norton 90 day trial sucks) -
yeah off course i get my windows copy from torrent it's vista style see it
how is your as5670wlmi working
