    how much difference is the 64bit version of xp from the 32 bit one

    if i put the 64 bit version on my 5102 would it run any better that the 32bit
    i am upgrading to 2 gig 677 and a faster cpu soon possibly a tl60

    What Proc. is it?(just to know)
    If you upgrade since WINXPx64 is based on server youll have to buy 'WIN server Antivirus etc.

    Actually you will notice the difference- it's gonna get worse.
    64bit systems have driver problems- not all drivers are available, if so most of them don't see frequent updates nor optimizations.
    Even assuming that drivers are perfect and fully optimized- how many 64bit applications do you know? If you think that 32bit applications on a 64bit system are going to work faster than on 32bit system, than you are wrong.
    What's more these 32bit apps on x64 are gonna work slower than on 32bit system (fallback/compatibility mode).

    yes i think ill stick with the 32bit verson dont want to start having software problems.thanks for the advice downloads

    yes i know but, its based on WIN server 2003 & Vista 64 bit has gottin alot better but not x64 XP
