    i bought this laptop and have no idea how i change between the video cards...

    is your laptop capable of doing so first?
    If it is, try right clicking on the desktop and you should ee the option

    If you have a NVIDIA video card with Optimus, the GPU changes automatically depending on the application. You can choose which GPU you want to use for each application; however, I don't think you can only choose one GPU. Correct, me if I am wrong.

    If you have an ATI video card with switchable graphics then the GPU will switch automatically when you are plugged in an power outlet or on battery. You can manually choose which GPU you want to use in Windows 7.

    Its inside the nVidia Control Panel, under 3D settings, where you can whitelist the apps to use nVidia GPU...
