    All you need to do to get at the ram in the 5100 series is to remove the thermal panel(biggest panel held on by 4 screws) on the bottom of the notebook. Once you have done that the 2 ram slots are right there. Once you can see the modules, then you can continue your memory upgrade following crucial.com installation guide (easier than if I tried to explain it). So remember remove the thermal panel on the bottom of the notebook then follow crucial's so-dimm installation guide.

    ...and make sure your laptop (BIOS) supports the amount of total RAM you want to put into it...or, has a BIOS update available to support it.

    ANY PC is limited re: how much RAM it can recognize.
