im totally fed up with this machine's performance, and since im going to pass this to my dad sometime soon, i want to find the PLL chip of this thing. Its next to impossible to find. A previous thread said that it was ICS 9LPRS 387, but that proves to be non-existent. not asking how to overclock, just how to disassemble. Do i open from the top (keyboard first) or bottom?

I'm not familiar with the 4935 but there are disassembly instructions for the 3935 on the Acer UK support site. Might be similar.

never mind. i tried it already. if this laptop were ever reviewed, it would have the strongest body construction ever (not solid, but strong) >< with plastic stronger than me. It is near insane to even open the bottom panel (20 screws at the bottom). i never managed to open all. im done with this...mods can close thread, or leave it for anyone else who might be as KRAZY as me
how to disassemble an Aspire 4935??
