    Hi;
    I have the aspire one 8.9 with HD 160 GB.
    It's eRecovery enable just "restore", NO backup mode or "create DVD backup", so if the HD go.................
    how can I download the eRecovery that have the option of creating DVD backup?
    Thanks
    HP

    I was sorta wondering the best way to back up the machine... Has anyone attempted a USB stick backup?

    Yes; but even with a USB device you still need the "BACKUP" option of the eRecovery tool.
    So step one is having the eRecovery version that can create backup.
    do you know how to get it?
