    how to recognize refurbished models?

    how is it possible to reconigiz whether the acer model that the store is offering at a good price is refurbished or new?

    If a store is selling refurbs then they are required to mention that in the descriptions. If they are trying to sell it without mentioning it then it probably better to stay away from such shady places. Refurbs also have a limited warranty of around 90 days and also do not come on the standard box. The box will also mention whether the laptop is brand new or refurbished.

    Yup, they can be in a lot of trouble if they sold something that was a refurb without telling you. Nothing wrong with a refurb though, some refurbs are items that weren't returned but has sat around for a while. They do inspect them and change out things for improvement (motors, batteries, etc). Also, when buying a refurb, make sure it's "manufacture refurbished" and not refurb'd by some guy down the street.
