    Hi.

I don't know if this will give you what you want but I found this when Googleing

    [REMOVED BY MODERATOR]

You would need to download the drivers for your notebook from Acer's site direct if you used one of these links, but if your key gives you the right to use multiple copies (as I understand it Family Pack usually covers up to 3 pc's?) then your key should activate them all?

Also, a word of caution here - most download links seem to be torrent files and as I don't use torrent downloads I can't vouch for the safety or security of any of these links - you never know what added bonuses you might get with torrent files from what I understand (viruses, trojans, malware, etc) - but doubtless someone else more knowledgable on this subject may be able to advise you further in that regard.

The only other option as far as I know would be to contact Acer directly and ask if it's possible to purchase system recovery disks for your notebook.

Hope this is of some help.

thanks for the 'non legal' download link but this is not the familily edition for netbook but the pro or standart familly (desktop edition).
as i say, i already have my license (sticker on bottom).
i know there is dvd recovery (it was sold by acer a time ago) but all the video i saw about this dvd show a recovery of linux linpus system, not the windows one.

danao- there's no Windows XP Home Edition for netbooks AFAIK. There are no mobile and desktop versions of Windows.
I assume you have a valid license for Windows XP Home Edition- you can install any XP Home and it will work.
It's possible that Acer customized XP by disabling some services to make it lighter for netbooks but you can do the same thing. I usually turn off around 10 services on my laptop by simply disabling those that I don't need or don't use.

Sorry about that - I didn't realise the download link you I gave you was illegal - had I have done no way would I have pointed you to it! I thought I made my feelings known on illegal downloads by stating my warnings about the added "bonuses" you might catch through downloading torrents but just for the record I absolutely disagree with pirated software for a multitude of reasons. I know for a fact though that there are legal ways to download either Vista or Win 7 (as a search through these forums will show you) and so because of that I presumed it was also legal to download XP in the same way - ie as long as you have a LEGAL key to install and activate it then it's ok. Apparently I was wrong though...

Sorry again, I'll shut up now and leave helping folks to those more knowledgeable than I in future...
