i need help on this ive already taken out the heatsink and the fan. my laptop is not working with the charger plugged, it turns off and on. with the battery it doesnt make a sound while its on but when the charger is plugged it is making bad contact with something below the gpu area. im not so sure if its called like that but i know the gpu is on that chip or thing connected to the motherboard. thanks.

Try to RMA your unit before attempting to remove your GPU, if your warranty is still valid. Anyway, is your GPU MXM or soldered? If it's MXM then it should be easily removable, else it will be very hard to remove a soldered GPU.

    it is in deed.

to the OP there are 2 screws holding the card down,
just to make sure. you have to take out the heatsink :p

then remove the 2 screws, and it will pop out

If you're going to change your GPU, a tip would be to run a GPU stress test first (if it's still functioning). In your case, maybe use a hairdryer over the heatsink for a few minutes so that you can melt the heatpad a bit, thus making it easier to remove. Check out the MXM thread to see which GPUs users have replaced their 6920G with.

Post in the MXM thread. There are dozens of users that have changed their MXM card, I'm sure at least one has pictures...
