for the acers that have radeon hybrid graphics, u know how when u plug in the power cord it automatically switched to the powerful gpu and auto switches back to integrated when on battery, does any1 know if its possible to disable the laptop from auto switching to the radeon even if i plug in the power and only have manual switching?

reason for this is coz i have the 3820tg and charging the batt takes centuries. i am not necessarily playing games when im plugged in so i want it to keep using integrated for possibly faster charging. another reason is, having the screen go blank for the switching process is very annoying i find. i know i can manually switch back to integrated but i dont wana do that every time, and visit the blank screen twice.

You can enable "discrete graphics" instead of "switchable graphics" in BIOS, but you cannot do this with the Intel GMA HD. There is no workaround for this and has been discussed many times.

Looks like you will have to manually switch to the Intel GMA HD in Windows when you are plugged in.
