Hello![]()
i was hoping to get most of my old laptop... and..
yah u get the picture... so i simply post these all system spec screenshots and hope u guys can tell me if theres everything ok? cause i think my ram actually max frequency is just 667, but suppose to be 800? cause i bought 800mhz kits as i remember.
(other screenshots are from everest ultimate)

so... if its not ok, how i could fix this?

It seems to be some kind of dual channel trouble.
But cpu-z says dual channel enabled.. :/
You're right, both modules can achieve 800 mhz..
In my opinion, there's some kind of trouble coming from different size and brand of modules, but I'm not sure of that. -
damn, i dont wanna buy another kit, they really got expensive now ;/ maybe there is some ram overclocking tutorial to force them to 800mhz? -
The problem is that Intel mobile chipsets don't support an FSB:<!-- -->DRAM divider of 1/2 (the FSB is quad-pumped, while the DRAM is double-pumped, so a "800MHz" FSB is physically 200MHz, while "800MHz" DRAM runs at 400MHz). 800MHz DDR2 is only supported using a 1066MHz FSB CPU (1066:800 effective is 266:400 physical, a 2/3 divider, which is supported).

sorry for the stupid question but.. if i overclock psychical cpu fsb from 200 to 266 then... it will memory start run at 800? -
No, that will make the RAM run @ 888MHz (444 physical). The current 3/5 divider will remain in place regardless of the overclock. (However, setting a lower divider may be possible using MemSet.)

thats how it looks like by default:
-
MemSet AFAIK takes the reported frequency from the SPD of the memory modules, rather than measuring the actual frequency produced by the PLL. Check with Everest whether your memory clock does in fact increase.
i assume my ram works on 667, but suppose to be on 800mhz?
