    AFAIK Acer have still introduced no MXM based machines recently.

    Seems like Acer is completely going for thinness now; which is hard to accomplish with MXM. Additionally, AFAIK Nvidia forbids using MXM and Optimus together.

    Strange since the 580M supports it.

    I'm surprised no one has done an ultra low profile MXM slot which keeps the card at the same level of the PCB yet (with a cutout in the mobo to let it sit there).
