    hello,
I seem to have killed my ac adapter. When I plug it in the brick doesn't light up and when I listen closely, it makes a chirping noise. Is it really dead? POS if it is, it's not that old. Thanks for any info

The exact same thing happened to me a while back!!
The ac adapter is dead...its not letting the current through hence the sound.
Call acer up if your still under warranty and they will try and fix it or replace it. They will most probably replace it cos they replaced mines.
