since i changed my battery to a replacement one (not original acer, but works fine apart from charging level percentage being always 100 while remaining time goes down) my travelmate 6292 after being in standby for like 15 min, switches itself on and hibernates itself every time. can anyone think of a way of keeping it in standby without disabling hibernation altogether?
    thanks, folks!

    Hi,

you may check your power settings, including the advanced options (where "entering hibernation after ..." is configured).
