I just realized the line-out port on my aspire 5670 does not work. Nothing happens when I plug my 3.5mm jack into the port, and sound continues to come out of the built-in speaker or from the headphone/spdif port. Realtek HD Manager detects the audio codec as alc883; is this the right one for this lappy?

    There is no jack sensing.

mic and headphone/spdif jacks work fine.

Is this what you 5670 users out there are seeing? I googled only one other case of this problem that happened on a sony lappy. I am hoping this problem is replicable on newer Aspires.

    I appreciate all help.
