I'm looking for an acer laptop.
All I want is that it's cd drive would be on the left side, and that its color would be silver and that it would have a dual core processor.
So far I have come up with only two models that I'm interested in, the acer aspire 1691 and the acer aspire 5000.
The problem is that in Israel (I live in Israel) they don’t import these models.
ive seen the dell inspiron, but didnt like it very much...
What would you advise me to do ?
    Thank you

    hi
    Thanks for your reply.
I heard many good reviews about dell but they are not as good looking as the acer.
And what did happen with your acer ?

First the hdd was make in high pitched squel so then I sent it in for them to fix it.
after 3 weeks I got it back the problem was still there. acer had replaced the motherboard... the problem was still there + the unit was damaged when I recieved it.
so I sent it back, they finally replaced the hdd, but the pc card slot ejector was jammed in side the case incorrectly so it did not work. and the same problem was still there. so back it goes.

if acer had some support for the computer I would not even be anger but they obviously can not fix a computer.

acer's there great until you need to repair them...
