Hi
Just got the 5920G, after playing with it for the last week, i seam to have disabled the media buttons and the middle touch pad button. The media buttons light up and go bright when i touch them so i think they are working but they don't control anything.
The center touchpad button does not do anything at all, although it did when i first had the laptop.
Any ideas???

Reinstall your synaptics driver from eRecovery. Everything should be as good as new.

how can i use media buttons for winamp.. it's only work media player...
-
sorry to interrupt, but just a quick question... is it normal that the right hand side buttons (play, pause, forward...) are always blue lighted? can you stop that? they are freaking annoyin

Don't know how to disable the lights (which would be nice if you could) but i do know how to use the media keys in winamp. Just go to the synaptic website (link on your media touch control panel). Download the latest drivers and install them. The media touch tab from the control panel will disappear so disable the noise (if you want) and set the sensitivity of the media touch pad before you install the new drivers.
Restart the laptop.
Go to winamp global hotkeys and set your keys to do whatever you want!!
So does anyone know how to disable the lights? -
If anybody would like to know how to use the buttons with itunes, use something called itunescontrol ( http://itunescontrol.com/). Its a handy piece of kit which also pops up with the track name, artist and album cover for when itunes is in the background. You simply configure the buttons in configuration where u press the button you want to use for that command. its free and loads automatically when itunes loads. Hope this helps!!

Is there any other way to keep the synaptic drivers + acer special features and to use winamp? Maybe some alternations in registry?
-
don't know any other way to do it as of yet. The only thing you lose by using my method is the media touch pad sensitivity settings (which was a little tab in the settings).... the acer mediatouch software allowing to set all the stuff like the tap zones, scrolling, and sensitivity of the mouse pad will still be there.

See theacerguy.com he was speaking about some buttons over there

After i installed iTunes the touchpad buttons automatically worked with it. (Except the record button, there's no red light and doesnt do anything when i press it)
