This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    my 5672 slows down to a grind out of the blue

    every half hour or so my 5672 just grinds to a holt and something like cli starts to take up 40% of my cpu even if i'm not doing anything. anyone else have that?

    try killing Ati2evxx.exe (ATI Traytools) and disable the 56k Modem in your device manager if you don't need it.

    there was a thread here before in the forum about those processes, they seem to slow down the laptop.
